History of the Course
Designed in 1940 by Bland P. Pittman, you’ll enjoy a classic course. The course was built as a part of the Works Project Administration. As only one of two golf courses built by the WPA in the state of Oklahoma, Idabel is a very unique find. Throughout the building of the golf course, the construction provided jobs to dozens of men who had fallen on hard times due to the bleak economic realities of the Great Depression.
